Beyond the Surface Retreat with João Noronha ♡
We’re delighted to welcome you to Monte Cucs, located on the southwest coast of Portugal, perched on our mountain and surrounded by forests and sea.
Over the course of six days, your coaches, João Noronha and Atamay Baptista, will challenge and inspire you with daily surf sessions at Amoreira Beach and scenic nature walks. Alongside surfing and hiking, Pedro Collares will guide sound and music sessions designed to encourage deep relaxation and inner focus.
Tine Wellens will lead the movement practices, offering gentle yin yoga sessions that complement your surf training and support the well-being of both body and mind.
Our private chef, Maria Gonzalez, will take care of all things delicious. After an energizing breakfast, she’ll prepare a nourishing lunch, and in the evening you’ll enjoy a flavorful dinner before settling in for a restful night.
Immerse yourself for six days in an oasis of tranquility, positive energy, and unforgettable food.

Where:
Monte Cucs is located in Odeceixe, 1h30 from Faro and 2h30 from Lisbon.
We are located at a 10 minutes drive from the beach of Odeceixe do Mar. It’s the closest one, but certainly not the only beach in the area.

Arrival and departure times:
On Sunday we welcome you from 4 p.m.
At 7 pm we’ll all enjoy our first dinner on the mountain
On Friday we say goodbye at 10 a.m. after breakfast
Flights and transfers:
Depending on where you live, we recommend flying from Charleroi, Brussels, Lille or Eindhoven to Faro (1h30 from Monte Cucs) or Lisbon (2h30 from Monte Cucs)
In Faro and Lisbon you can easily rent a car through Carfelexi for example.
Rough daily schedule: (we like to listen to your wishes on the spot, hence the "rough" daily schedule). Everything happens at your pace.
